Antigone Ikkos-Serrano
EMDR & Creative Arts Therapist
(Adults, Children & Young People)
Antigone is a HCPC registered therapist with over 10 years experience working across community settings, SEN/schools, NHS services, prisons and the charity sector, both in the UK and Greece.
She is experienced in working with anxiety, depression, stress, suicidality, (complex) trauma, addiction(s), serious mental illness, personality disorders, and relational difficulties, supporting individuals and those close to them through these experiences.
She also supports children and young people who have experienced/are experiencing adversity, including trauma or abuse, may present as anxious, depressed or refusing school, and/or have developmental differences and/or neurodiversity.
Her approach is person centred and integrates EMDR, creative art therapy, body-centred practices and psychodynamic theory. She takes an anti-colonial and social justice stance in her practice. She works collaboratively with her clients to find the right approach and balance between talking, creative exploration and/or other practices.
Her specialist interest lies in forensic settings where she has both managed and consulted on psychological services across a number of justice settings. She is currently collaborating with NHS services and the University of London to develop research on the effectiveness of Dramatherapy within prisons.
